Kleinwort Benson Bolsters Channel Island Banking Team

Kleinwort Benson, the UK wealth management firm, has beefed up its banking business with two appointments based in Guernsey.
Rod Keiller has come on board as senior business development manager, while Meloney Cohu has joined as manager of client services.
Keiller has worked for three decades in banking, having started his career at Royal Bank of Scotland in 1981. He moved to Guernsey in 1996 when he joined RBSI as senior private banking manager. In 2003, he moved to Northern Trust as head of banking business development and relationship management, before being appointed as head of institutional trust and executive director.
Cohu started her career at Lloyds Bank (now Lloyds TSB) where she worked for 14 years, latterly as customer services manager of C&G (Lloyds TSB Managed Bank). In 2006, she moved to Northern Trust as client relationship manager and team leader of the private client and wealth management team and then in 2009 as team leader of the alternative assets team.
Back in January, Kleinwort Benson hired Steve de Carteret as business development manager within the banking business. He also joined from Northern Trust, having previously been with the firm between 2001 and 2008.
Keiller and de Carteret will work to develop Kleinwort Benson's existing corporate services and intermediary banking relationships, broadening the products and services these clients utilise, as well as growing the bank's overall client base in this area.
Kleinwort Benson will next year celebrate its 50th year with a Channel Islands presence.
