Julius Baer Targets St Gallen

Zurich-headquartered private bank Julius Baer makes senior hires.
Julius Baer has hired four new relationship managers at its St Gallen location, from where the bank serves the Eastern Switzerland region in its Swiss home market.
Selami Oezkan will join Julius Baer in St Gallen from UBS Switzerland in February as a senior relationship manager, the firm said in a statement. With almost 20 years of experience in various positions in private banking and client advisory, mainly at Credit Suisse, he has financial expertise.
Joshua Braun will also join the team in St Gallen as a relationship manager in February. Previously, he worked for more than 10 years in client advisory at VZ Vermögenszentrum in St Gallen, most recently as a senior private client consultant specialising in investments, mortgages, pension and succession planning.
In November, Thierry Dobler took up the position of relationship manager in St Gallen. He has more than 10 years of experience in the financial industry and was a senior financial advisor at Raiffeisenbank Frauenfeld from 2015 to 2024, the firm continued.
In August, Elia Schärer started as a relationship manager in St Gallen. He has been with Julius Baer for more than five years. After joining the bank as a business and financial analyst, he spent the last three years working as a sales coach in client advisory.
“They all have proven experience, in-depth financial expertise and are familiar with the needs of our clients,” Patrick Prinz, head of the Swiss market at Julius Baer, said.
