New Office
Julius Baer Poaches Credit Suisse Team for New Swiss Regional Office

Switzerland's
Julius Baer is to open a branch in St Gallen this autumn to
strengthen the bank's position in its important Swiss home
market.
Julius Baer says the border region between Germany, Austria and
Switzerland has a very dynamic economy, while first-class
international transport connections, compelling investment
opportunities and an excellent education system make the area
attractive to wealthy private individuals and entrepreneurs.
Gian Rossi, chief executive of German-speaking Switzerland,
Germany and Austria at Bank Julius Baer said: "St. Gallen is an
important location for Bank Julius Baer. The business and
research-friendly environment offers great potential for wealth
managers. We are very pleased that we will be able to offer our
services directly to clients in St. Gallen by the end of this
year."
The new branch will be managed by Andreas Bauer who was
previously a relationship manager in the private banking business
of
Credit Suisse in St Gallen and also spent time in industry
and the consulting sector, as well as lecturing in financial
planning and business management.
Mr Bauer will be joined by Marcel Wild and Michael Eicher who
both join from Credit Suisse.
