Julius Baer Names Ex-Credit Suisse Figure For New Southeast Asia Role
The Swiss private bank has made the point that Asia-Pacific is its second "home" market.
Julius Baer has
appointed former Credit Suisse and
Citi Private
Bank senior figure Mun Joo Ng as team head for Southeast Asia
– a newly-created role. He is based in Singapore and the
appointment takes effect from 15 January.
Ng will report to Kevin Tay, who is group head for Southeast
Asia.
Working at Credit Suisse as a senior team leader for eight years
– running the Singapore desk – Ng was previously at
Citigroup for a decade, initially as head of strategic marketing,
and subsequently as an RM for the ultra-high net worth
segment.
In December, the Swiss private bank made appointments for its
Greater China business: Josephine Wang was promoted to group
head for Greater China; Rocky Mak took on a new role as team
head for Greater China; and Andrew Lam joined as team head
for Greater China, reporting to Salina Cheung, group head of
Greater China.
