Julius Baer Appoints New Lucerne Branch Head
The newly-appointed figure is taking the helm from the head who has been in that post for five years.
Julius Baer has
appointed a new head of its Lucerne branch. He will be taking up
the role from 1 January and succeeding Jürg Haverkamp, who has
led the Central Switzerland branch for the past five
years.
Andreas Weisshaupt (pictured below), who has more than 20 years’
financial sector experience, will be joining the Zurich-listed
bank from 1 December.

The bank said that Haverkamp has decided to focus on client
service until his retirement in 2026.
Weisshaupt has been head of the private banking entrepreneur desk
at Luzerner Kantonalbank since 2018. Previously, he was
responsible for the private clients and family office division at
the consulting firm Balmer-Etienne in Lucerne. Weisshaupt holds a
law degree from the University of Fribourg, an MBA finance from
Coventry University and is a certified financial planner.
The head of Mitteland and Central Switzerland for the bank is
Gieri Giger.
