JTC Appoints Head Of British Virgin Islands Office

The Jersey-headquartered private client and institutional client services provider has appointed new leadership in the British Virgin Islands.
JTC has hired Michelle Le Herissier from Barclays to head up its office in the British Virgin Islands, replacing Ouida Nisbett who has left the company.
Le Herissier joins after four years as Barclays' managing director of the Singapore and Hong Kong trust division. Prior to this, she spent four yours with Cititrust in Singapore where she ran a similar operation. With over 20 years’ industry experience, she has also worked in the private client sector in Switzerland for both Citi and Credit Suisse with particular exposure to the Asian marketplace.
As head of the BVI office, which was opened in 2002, Le Herissier will be responsible for driving the growth of JTC's private client and corporate administration services in the jurisdiction, while enhancing relationships with third parties. She will also support the company's Latin American offices and work closely with its alliance partner, Kensington Trust Group, in Asia.
“Her knowledge and expertise will be instrumental in enhancing our global private client and company services from the British Virgin Islands with a particular focus on growing business from Latin America and Asia, where we see excellent potential,” said Iain Johns, JTC's global head of private client services.
JTC also has offices in Argentina, Brazil, Cayman Islands, Guernsey, Jersey, Luxembourg, Malta, Mauritius, New Zealand, Switzerland and the UK, as well as US representative offices in Miami and New York, and alliance offices in Hong Kong, Labuan, Malaysia and Singapore. It has over £35 billion ($56 billion) in assets under administration.
