JTC Acquires Buck Share Plans
The firm has made a number of acquisitions recently, part of an M&A trend in this part of the wider wealth management ecosystem.
After receiving the applicable change of control and regulatory approvals, JTC, a publicly listed global professional services business, has completed the acquisition of the Buck UK and European Share Plan Administration and Trustee businesses (Buck Share Plans) from Arthur J Gallagher & Co. The deal was announced in August.
Buck Share Plans, which will accelerate the growth of the group’s share plan trustee and administration service offering, has a "book of quality," long-standing blue-chip clients, and an experienced, committed team across the UK, Guernsey and Germany.
“The completion of the acquisition of Buck Share Plans gives a further boost to our employee share plan offering,” Nigel Le Quesne, CEO of JTC, said.
The firm has made a number of acquisitions, most recently with the proposed purchase of Citi Trust, the fiduciary and trust administration services business, from Citigroup. In early August, it also acquired First Republic Trust Company of Delaware, after initially announcing the deal on 22 April 2024. See more commentary here.
