Isle Of Man Signs TIEAs With Indonesia, Japan [DO NOT EDIT]

The government of the Isle of Man has signed tax information agreements with Indonesia and Japan, bringing its total number of TIEAs to 23, the jurisdiction said.

The agreements were signed when IoM Treasury minister Anne Craine visited London last week.

These two new agreements mean the Isle of Man now has 23 TIEAs and 27 agreements in total that meet the OECD international standard on tax co-operation and transparency. Such offshore jurisdictions have been under relentless international pressure to make their business affairs as transparent for tax purposes as possible.

“Less than three weeks ago the OECD’s Global Forum on Transparency and Exchange of Information for Tax Purposes published its report on the Isle of Man and concluded that our existing agreements are working effectively and efficiently in practice,” Craine said in a statement.
