Investment Consultancy bfinance Launches Private Markets Service

Operating across the globe, the UK-headquartered firm, which specialises in investment manager research and selection, is pushing further into the private markets area.
Independent global investment consultancy, bfinance, has launched
bfinance Access, a new service helping wealth managers to deliver
customised private markets investment solutions to clients.
The new offering combines institutional expertise and
infrastructure and tech providers.
“This initiative creates significant opportunities for wealth
managers to strengthen their client relationships and grow their
businesses,” bfinance, which is headquartered in
London, said in a statement.
The new service is led by Bradley Budd, head of bfinance
Access. Budd brings a wealth of leadership experience from
his time as a British Army officer, as well as a diverse career
in financial services between Bank of America and Titanbay, a
private markets fintech, where he most recently served as
partnerships director.
The firm is targeting what it sees as continued upside for HNW
use of private market investing, such as private equity and
credit. It notes that HNW individuals, on average, hold about 2
per cent of investment in private markets, versus 10 to 50 per
cent typically held by institutions such as pension funds and
endowments.
“The democratisation of private market investment is transforming
wealth management. At bfinance, we have long tracked this
evolution, identifying where our expertise in private markets
advisory can deliver the greatest value,” David Vafai, founder
and CEO of bfinance, said.
Supporting this initiative is Alex Bozoglou, head of managed
investment solutions, who brings over a decade of private markets
experience, including time at Adams Street Partners.
