Investec Wealth & Investment Names New Head Of Entrepreneurs
UK wealth manager Investec Wealth & Investment made a senior hire this week, as part of a raft of new appointments.
Investec Wealth & Investments has appointed Marc Wright as head of entrepreneurs within its private office.
The appointment is the latest in a series of new hires as Investec grows the team of specialists looking after high net worth clients within the private office, the firm said in a statement. In addition, it is boosting its team of investment managers and financial planners in all of the regional offices within its flagship wealth management business.
Wright has over 12 years of experience within investment management. He spent most of that time with Barclays in a number of roles, but more recently as an ultra-high net worth senior private banker, leading the Midlands region for Barclays Private Bank, the firm continued. Prior to that, he was a key clients and family offices private banker based in London. He began his career at Goldman Sachs as a sales manager in the securities division, focusing on equities and equity derivatives.
Wright said: “I am looking forward to the dynamism and entrepreneurial spirit of Investec and leading a strong team to provide best-in-class advice to UHNW entrepreneurs, business owners and families.”
Michelle White, co-head of Investec’s private office, added: “Entrepreneurs are a key focus for us. We recognise that it is important to treat each client as an individual and that entrepreneur clients have different needs to financial industry clients, for example. We are looking forward to further building on our expertise and continuing to develop specialist teams to serve our diverse client base.”
Investec manages £38.8 billion ($48.5 billion) of its clients’ money, with an investment heritage dating back to 1827.
