Investec Trust in Jersey, a division of Investec Private Bank, has acquired Quorum Trust Group, a private client trust business previously part of the Channel Island’s law firm, Carey Olsen Group. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. “Both organisations come very much from a professional services heritage and there is a good cultural fit, with a strong focus on entrepreneurialism, energy and enthusiasm,” said Jersey-based Investec Trust’s chief executive Robert Clifford, in a statement. He added: “There is a shared emphasis on good, qualified people demonstrating expertise and professionalism focussing on our valued private clients.” Quorum Trust Group will continue to operate under its existing name and be run by Mr Clifford.
