Investec Private Bank has appointed five senior advisers to its banking division, saying the move has been prompted by rising demand for its high-end mortgages. The new hires are Andrew Michael, David Faries, Lindsey Sykes, Matthew Gwynne and Oona Ferst. They will be based in Investec’s London office. The appointments come, Investec says, after Investec’s latest mortgage offering which is designed specifically for high net worth and high income individuals who earn a large proportion of their income from annual lump sum bonuses. Mr Faries joins from Coutts. Mr Michael joins from Barclays Premier; Ms Sykes joins from Kaupthing Singer & Friedlander. Ms Ferst was previously at Barclays Premier and Mr Gwynne joins from Clydesdale Bank.
