Investec Makes Senior Charities Hire In London

Investec Wealth & Investment has appointed Caroline Jarvis - latterly of Kleinwort Benson - as client development director within its London-based charities division.

The firm said Jarvis will “develop new business opportunities” for the charities team and improve relationships with industry organisations and intermediaries across the sector, while reporting to Louise Hall, head of charities.

“This is a challenging time for charities, many of whom are facing a significant fall in funding and a squeeze on their income,” Hall said.

In her previous role at Kleinwort Benson, Jarvis was responsible for advising charities and private clients on their investments.

Investec Wealth & Investment offers wealth management and investment services to private individuals, charities, trusts, international clients and independent professional advisors. It has over 600 staff located throughout 11 offices in the UK, and manages over £1.4 billion (about $2.2 billion) on behalf of some 800 charities.
