Investec Asset Management Adds New Fund To Global Strategy Range

Investec Asset Management, part of UK and South Africa-listed Investec, has added a new Investec GSF Global Diversified Income Fund, a multi-asset income vehicle domiciled in Luxembourg, to its global strategy fund range.

The new fund aims to generate income for investors from a global multi-asset portfolio and provide a sustainable distribution yield currently estimated at 5.1 per cent. It is managed by John Stopford, co-head of the Investec multi-asset team, backed by the wider multi-asset team.

The fund’s multi-asset portfolio will make use of Investec’s investment capabilities across equities, high yield corporate bonds and emerging market debt, combining the managers’ selection of the best income opportunities available, according to the prevailing market and economic environment. By taking this diversified and flexible approach, the fund also aims to actively manage downside risk for investors, the firm said in a statement.

Earlier this month, Investec Asset Management said that its assets under management had hit a record £69.8 million (around $106 million), as it reported results for the financial year to 31 March 2013.
