Invesco to Move Global HQ From London to Atlanta
Global investment manager Invesco is to move its headquarters from London to Atlanta, contingent on shareholder approval. The firm currently has $505 billion in assets under management for its retail, institutional and private wealth management clients around the world and more than 5,300 employees in 19 countries. Invesco was created in Atlanta in 1978 through a divestiture by C&S Bank, moving to London after a takeover in 1988. The company already has offices in 20 other US and Canadian cities and its “C-level” officers, including chief executive Martin Flanagan, are already based in Atlanta.
