Invesco Perpetual has appointed David Bower as its UK-based head of marketing for EMEA. In this newly-created role, Bower will report to Ian Trevers, head of distribution, and will have responsibility for the development and management of all marketing capabilities across the EMEA region.

Bower, who will be based in the firm’s Henley office, joins from BlackRock where he held a number of senior distribution roles, most recently as head of EMEA marketing.

“This is a key appointment that positions us to develop our marketing capabilities to meet the needs of our clients, investment and distribution teams across the EMEA region,” Trevers said in a statement.

In other recent moves, earlier this month Invesco Perpetual announced the appointment of Mark Armour as its new EMEA head.
