Asad Bhatti to deputy fund manager of its High Yield Fund.
Bhatti, who has been with the investment house since 2002, will
join co-heads Paul Causer and Paul Read in the management of the
fund.
“Asad has provided the team with high quality and expert
analysis for more than a decade and his input has contributed
immensely to the success of the fund and the wider fixed
interest franchise,” said Paul Causer, co-head of fixed
interest in a statement.
Previously working as a fixed interest credit analyst before
progressing to senior analyst within the fixed income team,
Bhatti has played a key role in generating investment ideas and
opportunities for the Invesco Perpetual Fixed Interest funds.
Bhatti covers a number of industries including retail,
consumer, packaging, travel, mining and building materials. He
began his investment career with Arthur Anderson before joining
Abbey National Treasury Services.
The Invesco Perpetual High Yield Fund was launched in 1999 has
£130.8m assets under management. The fund, which moved into the
IMA High Yield sector in 2009, aims to achieve a high level of
income together with capital growth over the medium to long
term, the firm said.
