Intrinsic Names New Chief Risk Officer

Intrinsic, part of the UK’s Old Mutual Wealth, has confirmed the departure of a founding board member.

Financial advisor network Intrinsic has appointed Gill Davidson as chief risk officer, replacing Wallace Dobbin, who is set to retire.

A founding board member, Dobbin will continue with his existing non-executive director commitments and will remain with the business while Davidson transitions into the role.

Davidson has served as group regulatory director at advisor network Tenet since 2013. Before that, she worked at Coventry Building Society and Skipton Building Society.

Joining the Intrinsic board, Davidson will report to both Intrinsic chief executive Andy Thompson and Old Mutual Wealth chief risk officer Iain Wright.

“Wallace has been a vital part of Intrinsic’s success and on behalf of all my colleagues I’d like to thank him for the valuable contribution he has made to our business journey,” said Thompson.

“Gill brings a wealth of experience to the intrinsic board and she will be invaluable in ensuring we have a robust risk and control framework in place to provide a secure foundation for our ongoing growth plans.”
