International Investment Group Names Intermediary Business Head
The organisation, which operates in a number of regions, works with organisations such as family offices, institutions, consultants and wealth managers.
Investment house Grantham, Mayo, Van Otterloo, or GMO, has appointed Dexter Chua as
its head of intermediary business, Asia excluding Japan, for GMO
Singapore.
The appointment takes effect immediately, GMO said in a statement
yesterday.
With more than 15 years’ industry experience, Chua previously
worked at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, where he served as an
executive director and head of Southeast Asia in its third-party
wealth business, for more than nine years.
Prior to his tenure at GSAM, Chua was a client advisor in the
funds sales team at JP Morgan Asset Management after beginning
his career at BNP Asset Management.
“Singapore is an important hub for GMO, and I am committed to
bringing an exciting suite of products to the wealth and
intermediary segments across Asia,” Chua said.
Chua holds a bachelor of science degree in economics and finance
from Singapore Management University.
GMO, which is headquartered in Boston, has offices in Amsterdam,
London, Sydney, Singapore and Tokyo. It works with organisations
including family offices, institutions, consultants and wealth
managers.
