Integre brings in ex-Neuberger portfolio managers

Growth-tech investment firm adds a pair of principals from Lehman affiliate. Former Neuberger Berman portfolio managers Nels Wangensteen and Dan McCarthy have joined asset manager Integre Advisors as principals.
"I have known Dan and Nels for years, and they are top-class investors," says Integre's founder Manny Weintraub, who, like McCarthy and Wangensteen, is a former managing director of New York-based Neuberger Berman. "Their thoughtful, growth-oriented investment strategies are very complementary to the work that Integre does, and we are thrilled to have them join our team."
Wangensteen was a portfolio manager at Ingalls & Snyder before he joined Neuberger Berman. So was McCarthy.
Digital delivery
Weintraub says Integre invests in "companies that use Internet technology to develop new consumer applications [and] new, more productive ways of doing things" instead of focusing on the makers of underlying technologies -- Integre says eBay and Google are well known examples of the kinds of companies it likes.
Integre adds that Chinese digital-delivery plays account for about 20% of its portfolio.
New York-based Integre has about $287-billion in assets under management, mainly for high-net-worth investors. -FWR
