Indosuez WM Names New Hong Kong Branch Chief Executive

The new CEO, who will be taking up the role from the beginning of September, has been at the Crédit Agricole group since the start of the Millennium.

Indosuez Wealth Management, the wealth arm of Crédit Agricole, has appointed a new CEO for its Hong Kong branch – Michaël Kofman.

With his appointment taking effect from 1 September, Kofman will be succeeding Olivier Livenais who has been in the role since early 2020. Kofman, who will be relocating from Geneva to Hong Kong, will report to Omar Shokur, Indosuez’s CEO for the Asia region, the firm said in a statement last Friday.

Kofman’s appointment is subject to the approval of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority.

“His [Kofman’s] extensive experience and proven leadership at Indosuez, particularly in driving growth and credit as well as compliance initiatives, makes him ideal for leading our Hong Kong teams,” Shokur said.

At the Crédit Agricole group since 2002, Kofman has been at the Indosuez business for more than 13 years and in the financial services sector for three decades.

Before his current role, Kofman was based in Geneva as the head of structuring and financing of the wealth management business line for Indosuez, covering the teams in Switzerland and Asia. He has also held leadership positions in compliance and credit solutions.

Before this, he was at the corporate and investment banking arm of Crédit Agricole.

Kofman is a graduate of the École Supérieure des Sciences Économiques et Commerciales (ESSEC Grande École – Master in Management) (1999).
