IFDS, the transfer agency joint venture between State Street and DST Systems, has promoted Matthew Brown to chief administration officer of its UK wealth management and transfer agency operations.

Brown has been with IFDS since 2007, when he joined as part of the business development group, before going on to be appointed as business development director. Before joining IFDS he was senior vice president and head of collective fund services at State Street. In his prior career he also served as chief operating officer for a wealth management platform, the firm said in a statement.

In his new role Brown will oversee administration and operations, settlements, client finance and the IFDS Managers hosted ACD business, reporting to Simon Hudson-Lund, the firm’s chief executive.

The companies under the IFDS umbrella - along with State Street - provide transfer agency, wealth management and investor record-keeping services for institutions, distributors, advisors and investors in Australia, Canada, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Singapore, Switzerland, the UK and the US.
