Henderson Names JP Morgan Veteran As New Chief Financial Officer

UK-listed Henderson Global Investors has appointed Roger Thompson as chief financial officer, with effect from 1 July 2013, subject to regulatory approval.

Thompson will replace Shirley Garrood, who has been with the Henderson Group for 12 years, although she will not officially retire from the firm until March 2014.

Thompson joins from JP Morgan Asset Management, where he spent almost 20 years, most recently as global chief operating officer for the investment management business; he also held the role of head of UK franchise and international CFO.

At the end of 2012, Henderson Global Investors had some £65.7 billion ($100.8 billion) in assets under management.
