HSBC’s Islamic private banking unit has been named the “Most Outstanding Islamic Private Bank” at a regional finance forum in Kuala Lumpur. HSBC Amanah, which services high net worth individuals with Shariah products, was named the winner of the award at the third Kuala Lumpur Islamic Finance Forum. The event is attended by a range of industry participants, from regulators to Shariah scholars to bankers and lawyers. The theme of this year's conference was “Islamic Finance: Maturing Towards a Globalised Market” and was chosen to reflect the growing maturity of Islamic banking. HSBC Amanah’s suit of products includes trustee services, asset and portfolio management, financial advisory, underwriting, syndication and private and public placement services.
