HSBC Private Bank Names Wealth Solutions Head In Channel Islands

Kul Singh is the new head of Global Wealth Solutions for HSBC Private Bank in the Channel Islands. He replaces Gerard Kean, who is leaving after 22 years with the company.

Mr Singh is the former head of Operational Strategy at HSBC Private Bank and now has responsibility for all global wealth solutions activities in Jersey and Guernsey. His replacement has yet to be announced.

"Kul brings extensive knowledge of the industry and will be focused on developing our wealth planning services in the Channel Islands, a key element of the private bank offering,"said Declan Sheehan, chief executive of HSBC Private Bank, UK and Channel Islands.

Mr Singh joined the business in 1992 and was based in Guernsey as director and chief operating officer. In 2003, he became the regional chief operating officer for the UK and Channel Islands, based in London. He was appointed head of Operational Strategy in 2005.
