HSBC AM Names New Southeast Asia, Singapore CEO
There is change at the top of HSBC's asset management arm as a predecessor departs the group, creating a vacancy at the top.
HSBC Asset Management has appointed Pang Qi Lim as its new chief executive for the Southeast Asia and Singapore markets. The appointment is subject to regulatory approval.
Pang Qi Lim
Lim will succeed Patrice Conxicoeur, CEO and head of
Southeast Asia, who has decided to pursue new opportunities
outside HSBC.
In addition to these C-suite roles, Lim will also become head of
strategic partnerships for Southeast Asia, the firm said in a
statement last Friday.
Based in Singapore, Lim will be joining the firm on
Tuesday, reporting to Daisy Ho, CEO for Asia-Pacific and
Hong Kong, at HSBC Asset Management, and Ashmita Acharya, head of
wealth and personal banking, HSBC.
Prior to these roles, Lim led business development for client
solutions and services businesses, Asia-Pacific, at Fidelity
International. Before that, he was the Asia business lead for
strategic initiatives. He also held other senior roles at
Fidelity. Before joining that firm, he worked at Standard
Chartered Bank and Fortis Private Bank.
