HSBC’s Swiss Private Bank Nabs Ex-Credit Suisse, BNP Paribas Executives

HSBC has welcomed two industry veterans to its Swiss private banking business.
HSBC Private Bank(Suisse) has appointed Kim Fox and Hans-JĂĽrgen Koch as independent non-executive directors.
The pair will sit on the board of directors of HSBC Private Banking Holdings (Suisse), which includes HSBC’s private banking operations in Switzerland, Luxembourg and Monaco.
Fox has more than 30 years of experience in banking, having most recently served as global head of capital management at Credit Suisse. Previously, she spent 17 years with JP Morgan, holding senior management positions in the fixed income, treasury, asset and liability management and investment banking divisions.
She brings expertise in capital planning and allocation, stress testing, risk management and Swiss financial regulation.
Koch has 20 years of private banking experience. He was previously chief executive of wealth management for Switzerland and international Europe at BNP Paribas. Before that, he spent more than 20 years with Deutsche Bank in Germany, Bahrain and Switzerland, covering a range of markets including the Middle East and North Africa.
He brings particular experience in wealth management and knowledge of the Middle East, a key market for HSBC Private Bank (Suisse).
