The newly-appointed figure, who previously worked at Credit Suisse in Zurich, has also worked at UBS and BNY Mellon Investment Management.

HSBC has appointed Justine Kreis (pictured) as Europe, Middle East and Africa head of alternatives for the private banking and wealth business.

Geneva-based Kreis, has taken over from Tomislav Culic, who left the bank late last year.

Prior to this, Kreis worked at Credit Suisse in Zurich where she was head of alternative investments for the Swiss bank. Her prior roles include working for UBS Wealth Management in Zurich and for BNY Mellon Investment Management in Geneva as head of distribution for the region. In all, Kreis has worked in the private banking and asset management sector for more than 25 years.

In recent developments, in early January HSBC wrapped up the sale of its French retail banking business to Crédit Commercial de France (CCF), a subsidiary of My Money Group. Its latest wealth, personal banking results – including private banking – can be viewed here.
