HKMA pinpoints fraudulent website related to Bank of Singapore Ltd

The Hong Kong Monetary Authority is alerting the public to a press release issued by Bank of Singapore Ltd on a fraudulent website, having received a tip-off from the bank itself.

Indeed, the Bank of Singapore says that it has four fraudulent websites. They are:

  • hxxp://bankingsingapore[.]ru/
  • http://bankofsiiingapore.ru/

The four websites have no connection with the bank, whose official website is www.bankofsingapore.com

The Bank of Singapore is the dedicated private banking subsidiary of OCBC Bank. It operates on an open-architecture product platform and offers discretionary portfolio management and trust and advisory services, with one of the largest research teams in Asia backing it up. The regulator says that anyone who has provided his personal information to the website or has conducted any financial transactions through it should contact the bank concerned and report to the Police or contact the Cyber Security and Technology Crime Bureau of the Hong Kong Police Force.
