Guardian Wealth Management Recruits Ex-DeVere MD As Chief Commercial Officer

His role at the London based lifestyle financial planning firm begins with immediate effect.
Guardian
Wealth Management has hired Mike Coady, previously of DeVere
Group, into the newly-created role of chief commercial
officer.
Coady was managing director of DeVere United Kingdom, DeVere
Mortgages and chairman of UK Workplace Solutions, all part of the
DeVere Group of companies. DeVere announced at the beginning of
December that he had stepped down from these positions with
immediate effect. He has also held senior positions in M2
Financial (Towergate) and Barclays Wealth, and has worked for
Woolwich Independent Financial Advisory Services and Prudential
Assurances. Additionally, Coady achieved fellowship status
with the Institute of Directors earlier this year.
At GWM, Coady will drive the firm’s global expansion
and focus on developing further business opportunities and
increasing market share through both the expansion and ability of
existing offices, as well as through the opening of additional
regions, new brands and the development of further technology
supported distribution channels.
“His role as chief commercial officer will be a key element in
propelling us further forward as a leading provider of both
international and domestic wealth solutions,” added John
Hasberry, joint CEO.
Separately, the firm appointed Darren Jones, former head of international technical sales at Old Mutual International, as technical and training director, it said.
The firm has offices in Geneva, Zurich, Dubai, Qatar, Hong Kong and most recently London.
