Grant Thornton Recruits Ex-Coutts Managing Partner As Financial Planning Head

Grant Thornton UK has appointed Martin Young - formerly of Coutts - as head of financial planning within its London office, where he will oversee a team of seven investment advisors.

As well as serving as head of financial planning, Young has also been charged with the task of “substantially increasing the team’s revenue by 2015,” the firm said in a statement.

In his previous role as a managing partner at Coutts, Young managed and developed the Fleet Street office, which concentrated on the legal and accountancy sectors. He also oversaw the largest assets managed by Coutts’ private client teams, which included investments, deposits and lending.

Grant Thornton works with over 14,000 private clients across 28 locations nationwide.
