Global Property Specialist Expands In Asia Via Singapore Acquisition

Cushman & Wakefield, the international commercial real estate services firm, has announced plans to acquire a Singapore-based project management specialist to help strengthen its Asia-Pacific growth strategy.

The takeover of Project Solution Group, which offers professional interior design, project management and construction services to multinational corporations in the region, complements initiatives to become one of the largest platforms in Asia-Pacific. PSG is headquartered in Singapore but operates from 14 offices in 12 countries in Asia and the Middle East.

The announcement follows the expansion of its operations into Taiwan and the Philippines via new offices in early 2013.

"Over the past 18 months we have added six new offices and over 900 staff to our Asia operations," said Carlo Sant'Albano, chairman of Cushman & Wakefield, in a statement. "Expanding our global property and project management capabilities is a strategic priority for us."

Cushman & Wakefield advises and represents clients on all aspects of property occupancy and inevstment, managing around $2.2 billion in assets globally. The company's project management capabilities in Asia-Pacific now include project management consultancy, design and turnkey design and build-related services.
