The head of human resources at Danske Bank, the Danish
banking group which provides wealth management among its
services, is leaving the post on 1 July, it said yesterday,
continuing a run of high-profile executive announcements.
Helle Havgaard, has been HR chief since 2010. The search has
started for a replacement, the bank said in a statement.
"I have seen some very hectic and exciting years,” says Helle
Havgaard. “We have made deep structural changes to our
organisation while at the same time strengthening our expertise
and focusing on digital innovation,” she said.
“Our new chief executive has set the course for Danske Bank, and
we both agree that this requires new thinking,” she added.
"Helle Havgaard has been instrumental in adapting Danske Bank and
its organisation to new conditions at a time of considerable
pressure on the sector. She has also provided valuable input for
the customer-facing organisation we established two years ago,”
Thomas Borgen, chief executive, said in the statement.
The moves come as Danske Bank (as reported here), is going
through significant changes under Borgen’s command since he took
up the post in September last year. To view a recent article about
the bank and developments at it, see here.
Among recent moves has been the appointment, announced in early
March, of Jim Ditmore as group chief operating officer and member
of the executive board with effect from 21 April. A US citizen,
Ditmore has been chief technology officer, senior vice president,
at Allstate Insurance, Chicago, Illinois, with responsibility for
technology infrastructure and IT operations, architecture and
data.
Also in early March, the bank said that Robert Endersby, who has
been head of group risk management and a member of the executive
board since 2012, has announced that he will resign from his
position at the end of 2014, at the latest.
