Foundation Source Overhauls Brand To Reflect Changing Times In Philanthropy

Foundation Source, the service provider for private foundations, has overhauled its brand and online presence.

The new brand proposition includes a redesigned logo, corporate identity and website. Alongside the image refresh, the firm has renovated and expanded its Fairfield, CT, headquarters.

As part of the new website, Foundation Source is making available to the public its “Knowledge Center,” a store of proprietary research and content on private foundation management, tax compliance and philanthropic strategy, as a few examples. This was previously only available to clients.

H King McGlaughon, the firm’s chief executive, said the world of philanthropy and private foundations had “changed dramatically” since the firm’s launch a decade ago. Particularly, there is an increased emphasis on community, knowledge sharing and collaboration, he said, which is why the firm has increased its open content. It is aiming to encourage peer-learning and greater transparency in the private foundation community.

Foundation Source works with around 1,100 private foundations ranging in size from $250,000 to $500 million in assets.
