Focus Solutions, the UK-based financial services technology firm, has appointed Peter Cobb as product director.

Cobb joins the firm from Distribution Technology, where he had held the role of product manager. Prior to this, he held product manager positions at Sirius Financial Systems Limited and Profund Systems.

In his new role Cobb will be responsible for the development of focus:360°, the firm’s flagship multi-channel distribution product. As part of his new responsibilities, he will channel feedback from both users and the wider market to ensure the product develops in line with clients’ requirements, Focus said in a statement.

Part of the firm’s ambitions for focus:360° is to launch the product on iPhone and Android, plans which reflect a growing industry trend towards giving both advisors and clients access to investment data “on the go” via mobile devices.
