Focus Financial, Indian Conglomerate Builds Family Office JV

The new joint venture business will focus on UHNW clients and operate from offices in London, Singapore and Geneva.

Focus Financial Partners, the US-listed group of wealth managers, is pushing into the ultra-high net worth end of the wealth sector, launching an international family office joint venture with India-based conglomerate Hinduja Group. The JV is called Beryllus Capital.

Beryllus Capital is a multi-family office with offices in London, Geneva and Singapore. The firm will provide advice and strategies for managing clients’ investments, philanthropic endeavours and legacies. Its services will include investment management, investment banking and real estate advisory.

The JV will be led by Amit Kotha, a founder and senior wealth advisor based in London. Kotha previously held leadership positions at a global banking and wealth management institution in the UK, advising ultra-high net worth families in the UK, the Middle East and South East Asia.

"This is an important strategic alliance. Beryllus Capital will address the bespoke needs of ultra-high net worth families on a global scale, with outstanding professional and governance standards,” GP Hinduja, co-chairman of the Hinduja Group, said.

Rajini Kodialam, co-founder and chief operating officer of Focus, said: “Beryllus leads our expansion into Europe and Asia, and is another outstanding example of how we are expanding our presence in the ultra-high net worth segment."
