San Francisco private bank hires ex-City National Bank relationship manager. He will work with high-net-worth individuals and families, providing private-banking, business-banking, investment-management and trust services and real estate lending.

"Tony Saucedo has a long track record of success in helping individuals and families in Orange County achieve their financial objectives," says First Republic's COO Katherine August-deWilde. "[He] shares First Republic's commitment to exceptional client service, and we're delighted he has joined the First Republic team."

Saucedo was a private banker and relationship manager at Los Angeles-based City National Bank for more than 15 years of a 25-year career.

In January 2007 Merrill Lynch agreed to buy San Francisco-based First Republic.

Since then a subsidiary of City National, Convergent Capital Management, purchased Rockville, Md.-based multifamily office Lydian Wealth Management (now Convergent Wealth Advisors) from Palm Beach, Fla.-based holding company Lydian.

Two weeks ago, First Republic named former former Citigroup private banker William Espey as head of First Republic Wealth Advisors in San Francisco. -FWR
