First Republic Bank, which provides private banking and wealth management services, continued its recent hiring trend with the appointment of Christine Gorelick as managing director at its St Helena, California office.

Gorelick will provide a range of banking, lending and wealth management services to individuals and businesses in the Napa and Sonoma counties, as the bank expands in the wine counties.

Prior to joining First Republic, Gorelick was a senior private banker at Wells Fargo Bank, and also previously held a similar role at Bank of America in San Francisco. Before joining BoA she worked for Union Bank of California in large corporate and commercial banking. 

In other recent news, First Republic Bank appointed Matthew Keenan as a relationship manager at its Santa Barbara, California office and Philip Hill to work in its private wealth management business as portfolio manager and managing director at its San Francisco headquarters.  First Republic Bank has also recently expanded with a second Menlo Park, California office to cater for venture capital and private equity clients in Silicon Valley.
