First Foundation Advisors, investment management and trust firm, has named veteran wealth manager Grant Withers as managing director.

Withers was previously a private client advisor for US Trust and a financial advisor for Bernstein Global Wealth Management in Los Angeles. In this new role, he will be working with high net worth individuals, families and their professional advisory teams.

Hiring for executive roles is not new for First Foundation, which has been announcing a series of appointments since the start of 2011. To date, it has around eight branches in California. 

First Foundation Advisors is a combination of its parent firm, First Foundation Inc's, wealth consulting services that include estate planning, philanthropic guidance and investment management and consulting.
