Financial planning best practices on a disk

Program puts strategies of six top advisors under the spotlight. Research and Markets, a Dublin-based clearinghouse for third-party business information will, is selling a three-hour, six-speaker crash-course on best practices for financial advisors.

The Excellence in Financial Planning seminar, by Boston-based business publisher Aspatore, is a CD ROM and 100-plus-page book "of authoritative, insider's perspectives on the best practices of financial planners who have handled hundreds of portfolios on behalf of their clients," according to Research and Markets' blurb.

The six speakers in the seminar are AFP Group founder Gilbert Baker, John Black, a senior investment specialist with Northwestern Mutual, Bradley Bofford of Financial Principles, MetLife specialists Vicki Brackens and Thomas Cerney, and Wayne von Borstel, president of Oregon Trail Financial Services.
