Financial Software Firm Misys Creates New Role Of Chief Sales Officer

Misys, the UK-headquartered financial software firm, has appointed Frank Brienzi as its new president and chief sales officer, a newly created role.

Brienzi has been given the target of expanding sales, building on the 31 per cent software revenue growth achieved last year, Misys said in a statement. He previously worked at Oracle as senior vice president and general manager of Oracle Financial Services. He was a member of the board of directors of Oracle Financial Services Software.

The firm announced the move as it reported software licence growth of more than 45 per cent for the last three months.

“With the rapid transformation of last year into a successful high-growth business, having introduced more than 25 new product releases since June 2012 and over 60 new customers added to the business, Misys is now a much more customer-centric and innovative company,” Nadeem Syed, chief executive at Misys, said.
