Fieldpoint Private Arrives At 400 Park Avenue

Fieldpoint Private Bank & Trust, the Connecticut-based private bank and wealth advisory firm, has expanded into new offices on Park Avenue in Manhattan, to cater for a growing client base.

Fieldpoint Private Bank & Trust, the Connecticut-based private bank and wealth advisory firm, has expanded into new offices on Park Avenue in Manhattan, to cater for a growing client base.

The office move is the company's second significant expansionary effort in New York, after it acquired Manhattan-based Analytic Asset Management in May 2011. Analytic is a registered investment advisor and brought $275 million in assets under management to the operation. Along with the move to 400 Park Avenue, the acquired unit has rebranded as Fieldpoint Private Advisors and will be based at the new offices.

The upgrade comes after a six-month period in which the firm has made a series of “new and very large” relationships with private clients and institutions, according to Robert Matthews, president and chief executive.

"This expansion enables us to offer a full private banking experience right in the middle of one of America's most dynamic neighborhoods, and to house a significant portion of our growing team of advisors where they can be close to many of our best members," said Matthews.

Fieldpoint was established in 2008 and works with ultra high net worth individuals and institutions. It made a number of expansionary moves last year, also acquiring Nutmeg Securities, a broker-dealer, in June and striking a deal with Mercer to extend its manager research coverage and due diligence.

Significant hires at the firm last year included Paul Guidone, former CIO of Citigroup Global Wealth Management, as its chief investment officer in March, and marketing veteran Michael White, who has worked for the likes of Citigroup and Morgan Stanley, to oversee brand strategy and advertising.
