Fidelity Launches Global Dividend Fund In Hong Kong

Fidelity Worldwide Investment, the London-based asset manager, is poised to introduce its global dividend fund in Hong Kong following its successful initial world launch in January this year.
The fund is meant to produce income by investing in global equity securities, with a particular focus on investments with high dividend yields and price appreciation. It targets clients looking for an income stream that grows over the medium to long-term, attractive alternatives to cash and fixed income markets, and diversity in equity income exposures.
The fund is managed by portfolio manager Daniel Roberts and the firm's London-based global equity income team.
The decision to go with a global instead of a regional portfolio gives more opportunity to add value through stock selection, Fidelity Worldwide Investment said. At present, the fund has about 50 to 60 companies in its portfolio. A large portion of its asset allocation is domiciled in the US or Europe, but it also has a high exposure to emerging markets and the Asia-Pacific region.
