Fidelity International Appoints ITV Economics Editor

The Bermuda-headquartered provider of investment and retirement services has brought on a well-known editorial figure to run its content strategy.
Fidelity International has hired ITV’s economics editor, Richard Edgar, as editor in chief, based in London.
Edgar joins from ITV News where he has been economics editor since 2011. He previously held senior editorial roles at the Financial Times, Reuters and the BBC. In the newly-created role, he will be responsible for the firm's global content strategy.
He will manage the process of developing, designing and delivering investment and retirement content to clients worldwide. He will also lead a global team of senior experts drawn from Fidelity's investment, retirement and sales, marketing and communications capabilities.

Fidelity International invests £185.1 billion globally on behalf of clients in 25 countries. Its clients include wealth managers, private individuals, central banks, sovereign wealth funds, large corporates, financial institutions and insurers. The firm had £56.9 billion ($267.9 billion) in assets under administration as of the end of 2015.
