Fenergo Names New EMEA Managing Director
Drawing on her experience of engaging with clients and leading sales teams of over 700 professionals, the new MD of EMEA will reinforce Fenergo’s presence in the corporate and institutional banking sector, it said.
Ireland-based Fenergo, a provider of digital solutions for know your customer (KYC), transaction monitoring and client lifecycle management, has bolstered its presence in the EMEA region by appointing Ruth Ormsby as managing director of EMEA.
London-based, Ormsby, who started in April, is leading Fenergo's “ambitious growth strategy” across EMEA, in response to increasing demand for its technology following intensifying regulatory scrutiny across Europe and the UK, the firm said in a statement yesterday.
Changes to the regulatory environment affecting demand include the recently-adopted expansion of the EU’s anti-money laundering (AML) measures and the proposed changes to the Financial Conduct Authority’s Financial Crime Guide.
Drawing on her experience of engaging with clients and leading sales teams of more than 700 professionals, Ormsby strengthens Fenergo’s presence in the corporate and institutional banking sector as it seeks to increase operation efficiency by adopting more robust controls for AML and KYC compliance, the firm said. She is also responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with senior professionals operating in the space.
Previously, Ormsby was a senior vice president at Salesforce, covering all industries in the UK and Ireland. Prior to that, she was managing director, head of strategy and growth for technology for UK and Ireland at Accenture. Before Accenture, she worked at Capgemini and Ernst & Young.
“Ruth's vast experience, coupled with her deep market relationships, will serve to accelerate the pace of our market engagement. We are fortunate to have her on the team,” Chris Zingo, chief revenue officer, Fenergo, said.
Ormsby's appointment follows the recent hire of another Salesforce employee – Andrew Brandman, chief customer officer.
