Fancy A Family Office Job? Here's A Guide

Still a relatively obscure sector within the overall financial services jungle, family offices have specific recruitment needs. An executive search firm has brought out a guide to how FOs work, what sort of person they look for and the tasks they must perform.

Somers Partnership, the UK-based executive search firm, has published a new e-book How To Work For A Billionaire, which is a guide to working in and the workings of a family office.

The 86-page guide, available via Amazon, contains advice from clients who have a family office and the people who work in them, the recruitment firm announced yesterday.

The book addresses questions such as what family offices are, the differences in business models, recruitment needs and techniques and life inside a family office. The guide is pitched at professionals looking for careers in family offices and those seeking an insight into how these organisations operate. It is also, the guide to the book said, aimed at family office professionals who want to get a clearer idea of the sector they work in.

This guide comes at a time when the single and multi-family office sector continues to develop in Europe, the Middle East and Asia. This news service, meanwhile, is ramping up coverage of single family offices via its exclusive media partnership with data and analytics firm Highworth. Here is a link to registering for the Highworth database.
