FPI Names New Singapore Managing Director

A new MD is taking the helm of FPI's operations in Singapore.
Friends
Provident International, part of the UK-based Aviva group of
financial organisations, has appointed Andrew Waddell as managing
director for Singapore, subject to local regulatory
clearance.
Chris Gill, formerly the MD in Singapore, is leaving the group
for family reasons and will be returning to the UK, FPI said in a
statement yesterday.
Waddell was previously principal and executive director at
Lahinch Partners. Prior to that, he co-led the establishment of
AMP Advice, following the merger between AMP and AXA Australia.
Based in Singapore, Waddell will oversee the FPI business in the
local market.
"I want to express my heartfelt thanks to Chris for his
contributions over the past 18 years. Starting out in the UK,
Chris has been instrumental in extending our international
footprint and establishing our strong presence across Hong Kong
and Singapore,” said Adrian Emery, chief executive of FPI.
FPI provides life assurance and investment products in Asia, the
Middle East and other selected markets. The firm has offices
in Hong Kong, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates and the Isle of
Man, and more than 500 staff worldwide.
