Former Standard Chartered private banker Vaibhav Sharma is joining Citi Private Bank as a director on the UK ultra high net worth team, reporting to David Poole, this publication has learned.

Sharma, in his Standard Chartered job, was a director of the UK non-resident Indian private banking team. Previously, he worked for ICICI Bank in the UK and prior to that Standard Chartered in India.  He has worked in the private banking business in the UK and overseas for 15 years.

Citi Private Bank declined to comment on the matter; StanChart did not respond to this publication's enquiries about the move.
