Envestnet strikes deal with bond-platform provider

Link-up extends best-of-breed investment provider's fixed-income offerings. Third-party investment platform provider Envestnet Asset Management has extended its wealth-management services through an arrangement with bond manager and sub-advisory Fixed Income Securities (FIS).

Vast array

"The partnership between Envestnet and FIS is an important one for the company and important for advisors," says Envestnet's president Bill Crager. "We have been working to unify the wealth-management experience on a single platform and this partnership is a significant step in that direction."

Monument, Colo.-based FIS provides fixed-income products, investment strategies and portfolio analysis which will be become part of the Envestment platform.

"Once we complete our deployment with FIS, advisors will be able to include a vast array of fixed income securities into their clients' portfolios, while greatly simplifying the administration of these accounts and consolidating performance reporting," says Crager. "It is a powerful formula that will help the independent advisor deliver best in class solutions to their important clients."

Chicago-based Envestment manages over $30 billion in assets across more than 300,000 investor accounts. -FWR
