Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management Hires Fortis Convertible Bonds Specialist

Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management, a subsidiary of La Compagnie Financière Edmond de Rothschild, has appointed Laurent Le Grin as a fund manager in a move to boost its expertise in convertible bond management.

Le Grin was latterly a senior manager of European convertible bonds at Fortis Investments/BNP Paribas Asset Management, a role which he had held since 2006. He first joined Fortis in 2002 to manage European equity funds and micro-caps, having previously worked as an equity analyst at Banque Générale du Luxembourg.

Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management’s convertible bonds team is run by Kris Deblander and reports to Philippe Uzan, the firm’s head of research and global allocation. The team had €1.2 billion ($1.6 billion) in assets under management at the end of October this year, while Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management as a whole managed €13.2 billion.

La Compagnie Financière Edmond de Rothschild is the French branch of the Edmond de Rothschild Group.
